EXP2 WEEK4 FINAL ARCHITECTURE

NIGHT VIEW

The shape of the canopy and the shelter reflects many of Wangshu's architecture. The use of wooden material suggests that Wangshu has used a lot of natural materials in building his architecture.

The chairs are textured with my drawing of "diverse montage merged", which is one of the concepts of this experiment. While the chairs are placed in such a way that reflects the other concept: "tactile layering", the structure of the canopy further emphasises this idea.

DAY LIGHT VIEW

When a person is standing in the lightrail, he/she would be able to see a framed view of the environment ahead of them. This conveys the concept "framed view from figure".

In order to keep the traffic work as normal, an underground road has been built for cars to go through, while the light rail stop is on ground.

The shelter once again reflects Wangshu's architecture.

The use of Chinese style canopy together with wooden structure that is located in a Western city suggest the multicultural elements within the architecture and its surroundings.

Traffic is split near the stop, the cars go underground.

The resting area was inspired by Wangshu's Ningbo museum

EXP WEEK2 PARALLEL PROJECTION

THE CHOSEN ONE

Tactile layering + Framed view

A framed view covers the tactile layerings, I will use this one for my final model.

I then used sketchup to develop my model
